Some Crunch gyms are independently owned and operated by franchisees; as such, cancellation policies and procedures may vary by location based on state and local guidelines. See your local club for details if you have any questions regarding cancellation of your membership. Please note that any cancellation request has not been processed until you’ve received confirmation from your club.

What does my membership include?

Our gyms boast state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment. Depending on membership type, you’ll also get to try out our epic classes. Not to mention, we’ve got the best personal trainers in the biz at an affordable rate.

What is a Crunch Signature location?

Signature locations include all the essentials like cardio and strength machines, plus even MORE awesome classes, dedicated group fitness studios, and full service locker rooms with towel service, Rituals Products, saunas and steam rooms.*

Signature locations membership options include one-club, all Crunch Signature locations in a metro area, or all Crunch locations nationwide.

There are currently 28 Signature locations in the San Francisco, LA, DC, Miami and New York City metro areas.

How do I freeze/pause my membership?

I have a Peak/Peak Results membership - why can't I visit a Crunch Signature location?

Signature locations are higher priced clubs and therefore the membership structure is different

What is the minimum age to go to Crunch?

Every state, and therefore every club, has its own minumum age requirement. To find out your club's minimum age please click here

When do I need to cancel to avoid being charged for my next month's membership?

Crunch Fitness – Cancellation notice may vary between 10 and 30
days prior to your next billing date. This gives us ample time to ensure that
your membership is cancelled so you aren’t charged again. Please check the
memberships agreement you signed at enrollment or speak to your home club to confirm.

Where can I find my monthly billing receipts?

In the Crunch App - Click on the Profile icon in the bottom right > Click My Account > Scroll down to where you see "Club check in progress", then scroll to the right to see Billing & Payment History

Will non-use cancel my membership?

If you have a month to month membership, your membership will continue until you request cancellation. If you are a paid in full member your membership will end at the end of your contract unless you request to renew

Do you provide refunds for memberships?

The only valid reason for a refund is if you cancel within the first few days of having your membership (each state has laws for this grace period) OR if we missed your request by some extenuating circumstance. If you claim that you cancelled and your membership was not terminated, you will be asked to provide proof of the initial request.

What do I need to bring with me if I'm using a guest pass?

In order to use a Crunch guest pass you need a valid state ID. If you work in the state and live elsewhere, please let your sales associate know when you come in to activate the pass

What is included in my guest pass?

Crunch Fitness - Free Guest Passes include access to the gym and Group Fitness classes, but exclude the Relax & Recover Area, Ride classes, HIITZone classes and Kid’s Crunch. Guests can pay for additional services based on policy.

Crunch Signature – Free guest passes include everything except booking in advance. To take a class on a guest pass please show up prior to class with ample time for a tour, and so we can add your name to the in-person sign up sheet.

How much does a guest pass cost?

Crunch Fitness – Guest passes – if your membership does not include free unlimited guest access – Prices vary by location

Crunch Signature - $35/day for non-members coming by themselves, $25/day for non-members coming with an existing Crunch Signature member, and $10/day if you are coming from a different location type (Ex: Crunch Fitness member coming to work out for the day at a Crunch Signature location).

What happens if I stop paying for my month-to-month membership?

Regardless of changing your credit card, a balance will see accrue on your account unless you request to cancel your membership. After a certain amount of time, your membership will go into collections

Can I use my spouse/child/friend's membership?

Under no circumstance can you share your Crunch membership. Doing so may result in the loss of your membership

How much is the Crunch annual fee?

Crunch Fitness - The annual fee varies depending on your home
club, up to $89. Please contact the club here for more information.

Crunch Signature - Crunch’s annual fee varies from year to year and club to club! You see this fee occur three months after you first join and every year, once a year, on that date. The current Crunch Signature annual fee is $89+tax. The best way to find out when your annual fee is going to be charged is here .

How many times can I bring the same guest?

The guest policy depends on the club type and membership type you have! The best way to find out what your club’s guest policy is to contact them directly here.

How to make reservations if you're an Optum Member?

What is the difference between Crunch Fitness vs Crunch Select vs Crunch Signature?

Crunch Fitness Locations have all the latest amenities such as cardio, strength machines, the HIITZone and hundreds of Group fitness classes at amazing prices!

Crunch Select gyms typically offer additional amenities at a higher price point than a Crunch Fitness location as well as additional Group Fitness, Ride and HIITZone offerings. (Crunch Fitness members do not have access to these locations)


Crunch Signature gyms include all the essentials like cardio and strength machines, plus even MORE awesome classes, dedicated group fitness studios, and full-service locker rooms with towel service, Rituals Products, salon-quality grooming tools, saunas and steam rooms. How can I transfer my Home Club?

Some Crunch memberships are not eligible for transfer and may require canceling and rejoining at your new desired location or membership type.

Please contact your current home club directly for more information about how to make your desired change.

I see an additional charge in my bill this month which I've never seen before. What is this?

This may be the Annual Fee, which is charged once a year. To manage your membership or learn more about your bill, please contact your home club directly by visiting in person or through our Contact Us form.

How do I create my online member account?

You can create a member account by visiting members.crunch.com and clicking on “Create An Account.” Or, download the Crunch App on your iPhone or Android device and create an account there.

What if my home location is out of key tags?

Your home club can assign any number as your barcode! Most clubs will assign it as your phone number with no special characters in between.

What if I used to have an account and now my account says I'm inactive?

Please reach out to iCrunch@Crunch.com. We will likely delete your inactive and outdated account so you can create a brand new one!

Why cant I sign up for classes?

It is likely that you are not booking within your booking window. For Crunch Fitness locations, peak results and Peak members can book 22 hours prior to start of class. The booking window closes 30 minutes prior to start of class.

What is personal training? Is it right for me?

Personal training is designed to help you crush your fitness goals, regardless of if you’re a novice or a seasoned athlete. We strongly believe that personal training is the fastest and safest way to get great results for all our members. Our individualized fitness programs and nutrition tips put together by our certified instructors will help you achieve the results you’re looking for.

What is Small Group Training?

Want the expertise of our personal trainers, but not ready to go at it alone? Small group training is for you! The team environment helps keep you motivated and our certified trainers will keep you challenged and engaged.

What are the certifications required to be a trainer?

Can I switch personal trainers?

If you are unhappy with the current personal trainer you have, please speak to your home club to see if this is an option for you!

Can I gift personal training to someone else?

It depends on your home location! If you'd like to give the gift of fitness please contact your home location here.

I'm not a Crunch certified personal trainer, can I use your gym to train clients?

Under no circumstance is Crunch Fitness a training gym for non-Crunch trainers. This will result in loss of your membership if you are a member, or loss of visitor privilege if you are a non-Crunch member.

How much does personal training cost?

Personal training prices vary by location and vary by trainer. The best way to inquire about pricing is asking your location of interest.

Can I cancel my personal training contract?

There are a few accepted reasons for cancelling your personal training contract and getting refunded. Please contact your home club here to inquire.

Can I transfer my PT sessions to someone?

It depends on your home location. If you’d like to transfer remaining PT sessions to someone, please inquire with us here.

GROUP FITNESS

I've never taken a class before, what should I expect? Is it going to be too hard/can I keep up?

Our classes are challenging but inclusive of all fitness levels! We aim to make working out FUN for everyone.

What are the certifications required to be a group fitness instructor?

Candidates should have relevant fitness or education certification, background or degree with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. AFFA and/or ACE Certifications strongly recommended. CPR is also required.

What are your online reservation rules?

Some gyms allow members to sign up for classes online in advance of the class. Here are the rules:

For Peak & Peak Results memberships online reservations are available 22 hours prior to the class start time, and close 30 minutes prior to the start time.

IMPORTANT: You must sign in on the Class Sheet 5 minutes prior to class and confirm your reservation or you will be marked as a no-show.

For Crunch Signature members with an All Crunch or City Crunch membership, online reservations are available 6 days and 22 hours prior to the class start time, and close 30 minutes prior to the start time. One Crunch members can book 22 hours prior to class.

If you are unable to attend a class you have already reserved, please keep our cancellation policy in mind:

Late cancellation fee: if you cancel a reservation within 2 hours of class start time, you will be charged a fee.

No Show fee: if you miss a reservation without canceling, you will be charged a fee.

The fee will appear in your member portal after your reservation. Late cancellation and missed reservation fees will vary based on location.

If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, you must cancel your reservation. After a third no-show without cancelling your reservation (or if you neglect to sign in), you will lose online reservation privileges for the next 30 days. One Crunch members can book 22 hours prior to class.

What if I showed up for class and got marked absent?

If you showed up for a class and were still marked absent please contact the location at which this class took place and they will gladly assist you

What kind of classes does Crunch have?

Classes are our bread and butter! All classes at all Crunch locations are meant for all levels of fitness! To find out which classes your local Crunch has please look here

If I'm running late for class can someone hold my spot?

We’re all about gym buddies but you are the only one that can book and claim your spot in class.

AROUND THE GYM

What should I bring to the locker room?

Gym clothes, proper sneakers, a lock, workout towel and a great attitude! Plus, if you want to wash up after your workout, bring your toiletries, a bath towel and shower sandals (optional). And if you use a locker room at one of our Signature locations, we’ll provide the fluffy towels, Rituals Products and hair dryers (so you can leave those at home).

What is proper gym etiquette when using equipment?

Make sure to wipe down equipment after use. During peak times, please spend no more than 30 minutes on the cardio machines. Sharing is caring!

What’s Crunch-o-Meter?

The Crunch-O-Meter feature reflects real-time capacity updates at your gym. Check out the Crunch-O-Meter at Crunch.com/Locations or on the Crunch App by clicking on the Crunch-O-Meter icons.

I Don’t see Crunch-O-Meter for my club.

The Crunch-O-Meter is only available at participating locations.

What if I forgot my clothes at home? Can I wear anything on the equipment?

Proper gym clothing is required to use our machines, that means no heels, open toed or backless shoes, etc. If you forget something at home, Crunch has you covered! Most clubs have a Crunch Shop where you can get almost everything you’d need to crush your workout safely and comfortably!

What if I have feedback for a club I have visited?

We are always looking to improve our members’ experiences. Please contact us if you think there is something we can do to make Crunch your favorite place to be!

Does my club have a babysitting service?

Some clubs participate in Kid’s Crunch where we watch your kids while you break a sweat. To find out if your club has Kid’s Crunch please inquire here.

Does Crunch require a contract?

We offer a variety of memberships, including a month-to-month, which is a no commitment, and cancel at any time plans. Many locations also offer discounted memberships paid monthly but with an annual commitment, or one-year paid-in-full options. Does Crunch have a student discount?

Many of our gyms offer student discounts. The best way to find out about your club’s student rates is to contact your club of interest here

Does Crunch have initiation fees?

Yes. Crunch has a one-time enrollment fee and a processing fee.

What is the enrollment fee?

This one-time enrollment fee is paid upon execution of the membership agreement and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions with Crunch or as otherwise agreed to by Crunch. This fee is required to get the membership set up. Enrollment fees vary by location and by membership type.

What is the processing fee?

A processing fee may be charged to cover the actual costs associated with processing a membership; including, but not limited to; digital processing, membership key tag and other incremental costs

Does Crunch have a senior discount?

Many locations offer a senior discount! To figure out what your club’s senior discount is, contact your specific location of interest here

Does Crunch have any corporate discounts?

What are my last month's dues?

Crunch Signature - When you join Crunch you pay your last month’s dues upfront. This means that you have already prepaid for your final month. No matter when you cancel, your last day with Crunch access will be the last day of the following month of your membership. Ex: If you cancel Jan 1-31st, your effective end date will be February 28th.

What is the difference between having a Crunch Signature All Crunch, City Crunch, and One Crunch membership?

We provide flexible options to better serve our members, and offer plans with different levels of club access, earlier access to classes exclusive classes, and more. To find out what membership options suits you best please contact your club of interest here.

All Crunch gives you access to 450+ locations worldwide, and other benefits such as 6 days 22 hours advance booking on group fitness classes, and a complimentary subscription to Crunch+, the brand’s online streaming workout platform.

City Crunch (available in California only) gives you access to all 10 clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County.

One Crunch gives you one-club access, also known as your home club.
